(SPOT.ph) The Peninsula Manila was the place to be on October 5 as Esquire Philippinescelebrated its grand launch with a huge celebrity-filled bash. The glitterati converged with the literati, as did politicians, business bigwigs, fashionistas, and figures from the showbiz, music, and art worlds the night of what is now being touted as the “Party of the Year.”
Skin, skin and more skin was the order of the night as sultry stars Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Anne Curtis, and Bubbles Paraiso turned heads with their ultra-revealing body-con outfits that showed off every curve and (almost!) crevice. Eight months pregnant and looking gorgeous in a tangerine empire-waist gown was Andi Eigenmann. Also spotted were Azkals’ Anton del Rosario, Anne’s little sister Jasmine Curtis, Iza Calzado, Mylene Dizon, Vice Ganda, Meganand Lauren Young, and Bianca Gonzalez. Ely Buendia and Ogie Alcasid, meanwhile, performed for the guests. MANILA, Philippines – Film and television personality Solenn Heussaff revealed she is in favor of the smoke-free Philippines campaign but she thinks there are other issues the government should prioritize.
“I think that will be a good thing but I think everyone can decide for themselves on what they want to do and I think we have other issues that are more important to take care of,” she told ABS-CBN News during the Esquire Ball on Wednesday night. Heussaff even cited the reproductive health bill as a more urgent national issue. Solenn Heussaff seems set to take the entertainment industry by storm. She’s finally released her first single, a remake of The Pointer Sisters hit track “Fire,” and headlined her first concert “Solenn On Stage.” Since we were already wowed by the fashion in her album jacket, we simply had to ask her about what she had planned for her show.

Solenn Heussaff You don’t get any more Euro than French-Filipina multi-hyphenate, Solenn Heussaff. Recently launched into showbiz fame by (almost) winning GMA 7’s Survivor Philippines. A former Candy magazine cover girl, this stunning model keeps herself busy booking jobs as a VJ, host, and actress (paired off with Richard Gutierrez in the recent February offering, My Valentine Girls). Typically showbiz? Sure. But Solenn’s allure comes from her seemingly infinite well of talent that goes beyond good looks and acting chops. Looking for substance? This artiste has studied fashion design in Paris, earned enough training in makeup, body painting and prosthetics to call herself a professional make-up artist, is a painter set to hold her first exhibit this year, and has recently signed a recording deal that promises to showcase her high brow, jazzy, soulful crooning. In the meantime, fans fascinated by this siren can catch her on Party Pilipinas, Captain Barbell and Fashbook. Cropped tops have been spotted on the likes of Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, and Georgina Wilson, with the gals showing that inch or two of toned tummies. Take sartorial notes on how they match their cropped tops with high-waisted trousers, bandage skirts, or denim shorts. SOURCE : STYLEBIBLE.PH | DATE : FEBRUARY 25,2011 Solenn Heussaff felt “weird” while watching herself on the big screen during the premiere of her debut film, My Valentine Girls, last February 8 at SM Megamall. “Sobrang masaya ako and hopefully I get better,” she told members of the press who interviewed her after the screening. After being paired with Richard Gutierrez in this co-production of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, she says that she is slated to work with him again for GMA-7’s upcoming telefantasya, Captain Barbell. “I’m very excited and a little nervous kasi mas maraming Tagalog lines,” she admits. “In Captain Barbell, I play a reporter. I’m in search of my parents kasi na-kidnap ang tatay ko nung bata ako.” ANNE & ERWAN. Kapamilya star Anne Curtis has been more vocal about her relationship with Solenn’s brother, Erwan. Solenn commented, “I’m very happy for them and I really love Anne, so they have my full support.” According to Solenn, she wouldn’t have any problem if Anne becomes a part of their family someday. What does she like most about Anne? “Anne is very successful. She’s come a long way and she did it on her own. She’s very down-to-earth. She’s always smiling. I’ve never seen her in a bad mood in the four or five years that I’ve known her. She’s my number one pick.” Is her brother Erwan entertaining thoughts about joining showbiz? “No, he hates showbiz. He really loves Anne and he supports her but he’s never going to join showbiz.” SOURCE : PEP.PH | DATE : FEBRUARY 10,2011 Richard Gutierrez on possible romance with Solenn Heussaff: “Let’s see…if everybody stops asking.”01/14/2011 Earlier today, January 14, Solenn Heussaff made an intriguing statement during the press conference of her debut film titled My Valentine Girls. “I’m always alone on Valentine’s Day but this time it could be different,” said the half-French, half-Filipina celebrity during the presscon held at the Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City. This led others to think that she is referring to Richard Gutierrez, her leading man in the three-part romantic movie that will open on February 9. Aside from Solenn, Richard is also paired with Lovi Poe, Rhian Ramos and Eugene Domingo. Jillian Ward is cast as Richard’s little sister in this movie co-produced by GMA Films and Regal Entertainment. (CLICK HERE to read more about this movie.) Richard, on the other hand, said that he plans to celebrate the red-letter day with his leading ladies. “Of course, magkakasama kami ngayon Valentine’s for this movie. Ang main objective namin right now is to give justice to our roles. Yun muna for now.” Is Richard already in a relationship with Solenn? “We always get asked this question everytime. We always answer the same: We’re friends,” he said. When pressed to state the real score between him and Solenn, he declared: “Let’s see…if everybody stops asking.” Solenn was then asked if it’s possible for her to fall for Richard. She looked at the GMA-7 actor for a few moments before saying, “Basta never say never.” She later clarified, “You don’t really plan like ‘this person I’m allowed to like, this person, I’m not.’ Whatever happens, happens. I’m not saying, ‘I’m never going to like him.’” “I know a lot of people are curious and wondering coz we’re close. But if you ask us every day, our answers will still be the same every day. “If we were to get into anything, it happens over a period of time, not in an instant.” Instead of focusing on his closeness with the former Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown castaway, Richard insisted, “Solenn and I are really just friends. Our objective right now is to give a really good movie this Valentine’s. “And kung maraming tao na nangangarap o gustong magkatuluyan kami ni Solenn, panoorin na lang nila ang Valentine’s movie namin. Makikita nila doon ang chemistry namin ni Solenn.” To date, Richard and Solenn have not yet shot their kissing scene for the movie. He said, “I’m ready [for it]… Let’s see how it goes. Napakahusay na director ni Direk Andoy [Ranay]. I’m sure it’s gonna come out nice.” For her part, Solenn commented, “He looks like a good kisser so I can only be happy. It’s also exciting for me to do my first kissing scene so I’ll probably be a little bit nervous because there’ll be a lot of people in the room, but I’m not really scared.” ON HER UPCOMING ALBUM. Solenn’s brother, Erwan Heussaff, appeared briefly on Survivor Philippines while she was still part of GMA-7’s reality show. Is he open to the possibility of joining showbiz? “My brother is very anti-showbiz and having a girlfriend from showbiz, he doesn’t want to coz there’s always press around and people are always talking about you. He doesn’t want that,” said Solenn. Erwan is currently being linked to ABS-CBN actress Anne Curtis. “Pero when I have my album out, he’s going to do one song with me. That’s one thing you can look forward to,” said Solenn with a smile. SOURCE: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/ : DATE : JANUARY 14,1011 |
