MANILA, Philippines – It has one unabashed goal: to make viewers cry.

In “Yesterday Today Tomorrow” that had its premiere on Dec. 20 at SM Megamall, the characters in the story find their lives and relationships with loved ones unravel following a massive earthquake that hit the metro. Priorities are questioned, the past is dredged up, dark secrets are revealed…it’s a chaotic Christmas if these were happening in the here and now.

The only straight-on drama in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the Regal Multimedia, Inc.’s entry is a chokful of conflicts that seem to have no resolution, or at least ones that would’ve turned this movie into a predictable one. It’s not all happy ending (define ‘happy?’) except, perhaps, for drama fans who are treated to one highlight scene after another as only the stellar and awarded cast members can provide. This Jun Lana-helmed opus will have some people thinking, “I’m so glad my life isn’t as complicated as theirs” or as Bono growled in “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”: “Well, tonight thank God it’s them instead of you!”

MANILA, Philippines - Paulo Avelino has a love scene in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow with a woman considered to be every man’s fantasy. And while he was preparing for the scene, he admitted that he really got nervous.

“I’ve had love scenes before, but not as intense and as revealing as this one,” explained Paulo. “And it was my first intimate scene with Solenn Heussaff. I guess the thought of it will make any man nervous.”

Paulo shared that Solenn is one of his showbiz crushes, and that made him even more uneasy.

MANILA, Philippines – Dennis Trillo couldn’t be happier with his new movie, “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.”

The movie not only allowed him a chance to harness his acting chops in a role far from his usual fare, but he is excited over the steamy scenes he’s had with both Agot Isidro and Solenn Heussaff.

“Tinuhog ko silang dalawa dito. ‘Yun pa lang, interesting na, ‘di ba?” he explained at a recent press conference.

Trillo added that he will be the “envy of men” because of his scenes with Heussaff. He refused to divulge more about the scenes, however, urging his audience to just watch the movie when it comes out Christmas Day.

Trillo is not the only one who enjoyed heavy on-screen petting with showbiz’ current “Crush ng Bayan.”  His co-star Paulo Avelino, who plays his rival in the movie, also had such scenes with Heussaff.

But where Trillo was only too excited about the scenes, Avelino said he was more scared than anything else.

Regal Entertainment brings Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff and Carla Abellana together in its Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (YTT).

Lovi, Solenn and Carla rose to fame on the strength of not just their pretty faces, but also their charisma and acting mettle.

Showbizlandia has found its latest sensation in Solenn, who has no qualms in displaying her sexy figure. She first made a mark in the industry as a castaway on GMA 7’s Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition.

Her participation in the show resulted to a movie contract with Regal’s Lily Monteverde and Roselle Monteverde-Teo who introduced Solenn to the viewing public via My Valentine Girls opposite Richard Gutierrez.

Her big screen debut was followed by an appearance in the successful remake of Temptation Island. Shortly after, Solenn tried her hand at singing for which she won in this year’s Aliw Awards Discovery of the Year category.

Solenn’s popularity soared even higher when she agreed to endorse Ginebra San Miguel’s 2012 calendar. To date, her calendar and her debut album are selling like hotcakes.

The statuesque beauty and former model says she’s more comfortable showing off her svelte form. That’s why director Jun Lana found no difficulty in convincing Solenn in doing sexy beach and lovemaking scenes with Dennis Trillo in YTT.

“I like my body, so, bakit naman ako aarte pa? Besides, I like my role here. So there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Dagdag niya, “Itong showbiz dati, ayoko, pero the projects kept coming and coming. So, baka nga kailangan ko nga mag-try.”
